Thank you for your interest in the 2008 Jungheinrich Total Cost of Ownership Tool.

This Calculator will help you identify the cost savings achieved when using AC electric lift trucks over lift trucks powered by IC or DC electric.
How To Use The Tool
In order to use this calculator tool, please gather the following information. This will be needed to run the calculations.
  1. Gather the following information:

    • Number of trucks desired
    • Effective number of hours per shift
    • Number of shifts running per day
    • Number of working days per year (250 hours will be provided as a default)

  2. Obtain the information below for both a Jungheinrich AC Counterbalanced Truck, as well as for another truck you are considering for purchase (LPG, diesel, DC):

    • Truck price (use a quote from your local dealer or, for Jungheinrich AC trucks, you may use the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for a unit with a standard mast and an integrated side shift – this will be provided as a default)
    • Monthly truck maintenance cost (use your own number or a default cost will be provided)
    • Battery price (use your own number or a default cost will be provided)
    • Charger price (use your own number or a default cost will be provided)

  3. Finally, please collect the following information based on the type of truck you wish to compare to a Jungheinrich AC Counterbalanced Truck.

    For IC Trucks:
    • Fuel cost per bottle/tank or gallon
    • Hours of operation per bottle/tank or gallon

    For DC Trucks:
    • Number of batteries per truck
    • Battery price (a default price will be provided)
    • Number of battery chargers needed
    • Charger price
